Rally - O

For Advanced Obedience Graduates

Limited to 6 dogs per class; price: $225.

A fun and exciting team sport for dogs and their handlers! Dog and Handler 'teams' navigate a course with numbered signs indicating different exercises to perform.  Handlers are permitted to talk, praise, encourage, or use any verbal means of encouragement towards their dogs. Multiple commands and/or signals using one or both arms and hands are allowed; loud or harsh commands or intimidating signals will be penalized.

This is a great sport! It gives your dog mental stimulation and prepares for obedience competition.  It's something new, different, and fun to do with your dog!  Visit the AKC website to learn more about this sport!

Therapy Dog Class

For Canine Good Citizen certified dogs (or with permission of trainer)

Limited to 6 dogs per class; price: $225.

Therapy dogs should be well socialized and mentally stable, showing the ability to ENJOY the work expected from a Therapy Dog.  Few dogs will qualify.

This class will prepare the handlers and the dog for most TD certification tests.  Not only are we preparing your dog for the test, we are preparing YOU the handler, for the actual work.

WHAT DOES A THERAPY DOG DO?

Therapy dogs often participate in scheduled visitations at hospitals, nursing homes, support groups, assisted care facilities and more.  For example, many libraries have created a ‘special time’ to assist children and or adults in a confidence boosting reading program. Therapy dogs fit right into these programs.  Therapy Dogs bring a feeling of comfort to many.

Scent Class

For Beginner Obedience Graduates

Limited to 6 dogs per class; price: $225.

This introductory level scent work class is for dogs that don't have any prior scent work experience. You will learn the basic concepts related to searching for odor, proper use of equipment, how to handle odor, how to place hides, and how to teach your dog to hunt for odor and love it.

We recommend completion of Basic obedience (or equivalent) prior to enrolling in this class.  One dog searches at a time, all other dogs must be kept in your car as you wait your turn.
