Rally-O Class

A fun and exciting team sport for dogs and their handlers! All dogs be it purebred, mixed breeds or dogs with disabilities are encouraged to participate. Dog and Handler 'teams' navigate a course with numbered signs indicating different exercises to perform. 'Teams' navigate the course at a brisk, continuous pace without direction from the judge. Handlers are permitted to talk, praise, encourage, clap their hands, pat their legs, or use any verbal means of encouragement towards there dogs. Levels of Competition

The three levels of competition in AKC Rally

• Novice - this is the first level for those just getting started in competition. All exercises are performed with the dog on leash.
• Advanced - this is the second level, which includes more difficult exercises throughout the course. All exercises are performed off-leash. There is a requirement of 12-17 stations.
• Excellent - this third and highest level of AKC Rally is the most challenging. There is a requirement of 15-20 stations.

A 'team' earns a Rally title after successfully completing three course runs, with qualifying scores under three diffarnet judges. Titles can be earned at each Level and teams may also earn Championship titles, National Ranking Awards and a special Award of Excellence.

This is a great sport! It gives your dog mental stimulation and prepares for obedience competition! It's just something fun to do with your dog!

ALL AGES ARE CAPABLE of competing and training for Rally-O!
