Kim Bainbridge graduated from CT K9 in February 2006, is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and is working toward APDT certification. Before joining The Right Paw in November 2008, Kim worked for over a decade in training, grooming, and handling with other facilities. She enjoys working with all breeds of dogs. To further her education and develop the best results for her clients, she attends annual industry seminars and studies current training literature. When not working at The Right Paw, Kim participates in dog shows. She began at a young age in the confirmation ring with her aunt’s Dalmatians and earned titles in junior handling. She then went on to show a variety of other breeds including Brittanys and Chinooks. She volunteered to show a black lab that belonged to a disabled client and received the dog’s Companion Dog title in obedience. She currently shows her chocolate labrador, Kyara, who has earned her Canine Good Citizen and her Rally Novice title. She is well on her way to an Advance Rally title. She and Kyara also volunteer their time with the MARK-9 wilderness search and rescue team.
