Behavioral Programs

Behavioral Modification
Behavior modification programs are for dogs deemed to have a 'behavior problem'. If your dog is aggressive or shows fear or commits acts of destruction, then it is a candidate for this program.

Furthermore, any dog that has an existing behavior that puts itself or others in jeopardy or causes itself great anxiety is a problem for it's owners and should be considered for enrollment in our Behavioral Program.

Before beginning a Behavioral Modification Program there must be a Behavioral Evaluation which would include a diagnosis from our instructors.

Behavior Modification Programs (BMP) are, specifically written procedures for the clients to follow.

Behavior modification programs usually include a desensitizing / counter conditioning process created to address the dogs issues. BMP's usually take an extended period of time. There is no short cuts when trying to change a set behavior.

Clients will meet with the trainer / behavior consultant, two additional times after the behavior evaluation. Three meetings most often provides enough instruction for sufficient program progress. However, optional additional Private consultations / meetings can be arranged for an additional fee.

The consultations usually last approximately one hour each time. There will also be support throughout the program over the phone. Phone consultations will last up to one half hour. During the meetings and phone consultations the trainer / consultant will reassess the procedures and trouble shoot with the client. Behavior modification programs take time, patience, observation, and desire on the clients part. Client compliance is a necessity.

This fee is inclusive of phone consultation time, written materials, research time and veterinary conferences (if necessary).

Behavior Modification Program fee is $550.00.
